Event Details
Be Your Best Self for a Better Team is held over 2 sessions a few weeks apart.
🌟The First Session is Held on 6th February 2025 🌟
🌟The Second Session is held 27th February 2025🌟
Class includes:
-2 2-hour sessions First session will introduce team and group behaviour
-The second session will have an overview of intercultural highlights, case studies, and feedback
-1 60-min coaching session (should occur between the two classes)
-5 hours of self-paced video training for intercultural/interpersonal (should occur between classes)
-Belbin Team Role Report (provided during the coaching session and reviewed together)
BYBSBT is intended for anyone who works in a team (special value for engineers, product development, software developers, etc but there is no content that is technical) to learn about:
– Group and team behavior, and how to form high-performing teams
– Self-awareness and emotional intelligence, specifically through work with Belbin Team Roles, which identify preferred and least-preferred roles. Working in preferred roles gives greater results and enjoyment, working in least-preferred roles generates stress and could lead to burnout over prolonged periods. The assessment includes both a self-assessment and the possibility for observer input.
– Intercultural and interpersonal differences
– How to give and receive feedback
This class is intended as a basic introduction to emotional intelligence (who am I? How am I different from others? How does my behavior impact others?) and does it in the context of teams and team roles.
We are all different, and our companies and teams are stronger for those differences. When we can understand our differences, and those of others, we can look for more opportunities for cooperation rather than be threatened by others.
This class provides that basic introduction through team development behavior (Wheelan model), identification of own team role using Belbin Team Role profiles (provides input on preferred and least-preferred team roles, with self and optional observer input), introduction to intercultural/interpersonal behavior (Culture Map tool from INSEAD), and a basic session on how to give and receive feedback.
